After a number of years of working together on various joint projects, we are excited to announce that Robbie Durant will formally be joining forces with HCI Systems to further enhance the business offering and to support its growth. As Head of Technical Sales, Robbie will take responsibility for sales focussed activities both from a technical and co-ordination perspective. In addition, working within the HCI Management Team, he will bring a complimentary wealth of experience to the company.

As well as being an experienced rally co-driver, most recently for Travis Pastrana at Subaru Motorsport USA, Robbie has worked in harnessing for almost 20 years and has provided robust and optimised design and harnessing solutions to leading companies over this period. With clients in Formula 1 & Formula E as well as supporting National and International Race and Rally teams and numerous specialised engineering firms, Robbie has a breadth of knowledge and contacts within the industry.

HCI Systems, based in Newport, Shropshire, have grown rapidly in recent years to become leaders in the design and manufacture of full vehicle electrical wiring systems and wiring harnesses. Robbie joining the team further supports the ambitious growth strategy that the business has been progressing and is timed to support the move in to a new, state of the art, facility later this year. The facility, further enhances the ability to deliver the design, development and supply of the core motorsports capability as well as low / medium volume production harness supply for automotive, marine and defence industries. It also provides the space to accommodate the HCI product portfolio and related development activities.

“Having originally worked with Robbie at Jaguar F1 many years ago, and seeing the knowledge, experience and drive for quality he applies to high performance harnessing, it is fantastic that he is now part of our amazing team. Robbie’s arrival times well with the high level of interest we are seeing across all sectors as well as the move to the much-needed larger facility.” Mike Tickner, Managing Director of HCI.

“Being very familiar with the high standard of delivery and service that HCI have offered over the years, it was an obvious choice for me when looking as to how best to use my experience and knowledge going forwards. I very much look forward to working with the HCI team to continue to advance this great company.” Robbie Durant.
